Director of Engineering

THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Engineering to augment our leadership team and amplify our data capabilities. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in constructing and scaling our data infrastructure, guiding our data engineering team in building, implementing, and optimizing Truum’s data pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to translate needs into refined software and data solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and deployment of data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data delivery.

  • Oversee the integration of AI into our data analysis and prediction systems to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our services.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and data science teams to integrate data solutions and AI models into the company’s software.

  • Devise strategies to tackle data quality issues, inconsistencies, and integration of different data sources.

  • Elevate Truum’s data capabilities in terms of architecture, performance, scalability, and agility.

  • Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

  • Foster a customer-centric, technologically audacious team that propels innovation for customer benefit.

  • Propose new ideas for data unification, automation, and expansion of our data analysis capabilities.

  • Advocate technology leverage by constructing modular algorithmic components and simplifying technology footprint across diverse data analysis modules.

  • Influence business strategy by understanding critical business metrics and shaping the overall product direction and strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a proven track record of building and managing data pipelines widely used in consumer products.

  • Proven success in developing and implementing data solutions that have positively impacted business outcomes.

  • Extensive experience in applying data engineering techniques to real-world problems.

  • Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing and executing data projects from start to finish.

  • Comprehensive understanding of data structures and algorithms, distributed technologies, public cloud technologies

QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)

  • Experience with Language Model (LLM) and its applications.

  • Extensive experience in the design, development, and delivery of data analysis components with a massive customer base.

  • Proven success in a strategic technical leadership role with large-scale data projects.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate a clear vision for architecture to all levels of stakeholders.

  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.
